Nxgen Beef Spleen 160c

Suggested serving size is 4 capsules daily.

This is one of my favourite wholefood products to work with in supporting healthy iron stores and building up overall nutrition and co-factors naturally. If you're iron has been low or a challenge to increase, taking it with Vitamin C and things to optimise the acid in your stomach will improve absorption - choices include a digestive enzyme (like Designs for Health Zymegest in our store) or lemon juice and or apple cider vinegar in your water when taking your iron supplement.

A little word from Nxgen:

Benefits of Consuming Spleen:

  • Supports Spleen Health*
  • Supports Immune & Allergy Health*
  • Supports Inflammatory Health*
  • Supports Blood Health*
  • Supports Iron Health (5 x's More Heme Iron Than Liver)*

Beef spleen is a traditional food that is used in many cuisines around the world, rich in protein, heme iron and healthy fats. Heme Iron can only be obtained from red meat and is iron derived from haemoglobin already attached to protein that is highly bioavailable, meaning it gets straight into the blood stream. Heme deficiency can cause aneamia, porphyrias and alzheimers.*[7}

Our pasture raised freeze-dried spleen from Grass-Fed Australian cattle sourced from Lake Eyre provides the benefits of this healing food, containing all of the known nutrients that naturally occur in a healthy spleen, including minerals, peptides and special nutritional factors.

How much Heme Iron is in a serve of Nxgen Organic Spleen?

Heme iron is derived mainly from haemoglobin and myoglobin in animal tissue. There is a proximate value of 12.5mg bioavailable heme iron per serve. This can by no means be compared to synthetic iron compounds like iron chelates, or iron bisglycinate, or ferrous sulfate, which need to be converted to elemental iron and then converted to heme iron, means the bioavailability is much less. Further synthetic vitamins are prone to side effects like constipation.

As you can probably tell, this product is not Vegetarian/Vegan.
